Musical group Sperry Creek will be playing bluegrass at the Marlborough Arts Center on Saturday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m. in the air-conditioned comfort of the Center’s beautiful Art Gallery. Sperry Creek is known for its harmonious instrumentation true to the bluegrass genre. They are a 5-piece band of longtime musicians who formed at the peak of the pandemic through socially distant backyard jam sessions and named themselves for a nearby creek, officially forming in the summer of 2020. Members are Scott Freemantle on bass, Marilyn Toback-Reveley on guitar, Bill Reveley on fiddle, Carrie Folsom-O’Keefe on mandolin, and Dan O’Keefe on banjo. They share a passion for bluegrass which is evident in their concerts.
The Marlborough Arts Center is located at 231 North Main Street in Marlborough CT. It is fully accessible and has ample parking. Admission is $10 at the door.
