Over 400 enthusiastic art lovers from the region attended the Opening Weekend on March 3 and 4 of the 2018 Students’ Art Show at the Marlborough Arts Center to view the artworks of students from kindergarten through high school. The works exhibited from the elementary schools were chosen by art teachers Denise Ketterer in Marlborough, Meredith Cowan in Hebron, Susan Giammarco in Gilead and Jay Adams in Andover. Brian Merrill and Rebecca Keller are the art teachers at RHAM Middle School and Bev Fisher, Shelly Osowieki, Carrie Dinunzio and Maxine Cunningham teach at RHAM High School. The show was coordinated by Lin Gotta and Sue Hollister in close collaboration with the art teachers and schools.
“This is really impressive” was commonly heard by the attendees as they viewed the range of creativity shown by the student artists. The show will continue to be open on weekends through March 18, every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Even if you do not know any of the artists, this is a show worth seeing. Admission is free.
