The Watercolor Society of Connecticut under the Direction of John Atwater is now exhibiting their Fall Watercolor Exhibition from October 1 through October 30, 2022 at the Marlborough Arts Center, 231 North Main Street, in Marlborough CT. The Opening Reception open to all is on Sunday, October 2 to meet and greet the artists and enjoy both their company and the 57 paintings accepted into the Exhibition.
Artists from across Connecticut submitted over 150 paintings to be judged into this Exhibition by Bill Thomson, a Professor of Illustration at the Hartford Art School, the University of Hartford where he received the Outstanding Teachers Award in 2004 and the Innovations in Teaching Award in 2011. His recent work has focused on illustrating children’s books. Bill Thomson’s artwork has received more than 75 awards in the country’s most prestigious juried illustration competitions and it is an honor to have him judge the paintings included in this Exhibition.
The Exhibit is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the month of October from 1-4 PM. Admission to the Watercolor Society of Connecticut’s Exhibition at the beautiful Marlborough Arts Center is free of charge. There is ample parking and the Arts Center is ADA compatible.
