Member Artist Show Winners

Cake and MAC winners 005The Marlborough Arts Center at 231 North Main Street in Marlborough, CT is pleased to announce the prize winners of its annual Member Artist Show that were announced at the Opening Reception on Sunday, August 30, 2015. First Place Winner was Jim Grabowski’s acrylic “Time Sequence Study”; Second Place Winner was an oil by Marthan Laurenitis, “Pineapple”; Third Place Winner was James Wagner’s photograph entitled “Charter Oak Bridge”. This show was judged by Katherine Simmons, a well-known artist-judge, who has also honored the Arts Center with her expertise for past shows. She was so impressed with the quality of the art works that she insisted on Honorable Mentions for three other artists: Albert D’Antonio for his sculpture “Bending Back”; Bob Desaulnier for his painting “Barnyard Gate”; and Pattie Bullock for her pastel “Mandevilla”.

You can view the entire show in the beautiful Charles W. Hall Art Gallery at your leisure every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 1-4 p.m. through September 27, with the exception of Labor Day Weekend. Admission is always free of charge with ample parking and full accessibility. The Gift Shop containing unique artistic and craft pieces by their regional artists will also be open during the Show. There is a plethora of wonderful one-of-a-kind gifts for people of all ages that includes jewelry, wooden bowls, ceramics, wax candles, artisanal soaps, and many more surprises to delight anyone.
