The Kenn Morr Band will be playing at Marlborough Arts Center’s 4th Friday at the Arts Café on Friday, May 26. Although centered in Colebrook, Connecticut, and well known in the region, they are literally also known internationally with record sales and airplay in the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. They describe themselves as an alternative Folk/Rock band but these simple words cannot do justice to their surging rhythms, unique instrumentation, poetic lyrics, and sweet melodies.
Kenn Morr is known for the deeply moving songs he has written from his life experiences and the band’s three-part harmonies are wonderful. With Kenn as lead singer and on various guitars, there is also Tom Hagymasi on strings, Pat Ryan on bass, and Bob Gaspar on drums. The Arts Center is delighted to have them back as featured artists in the beautiful Charles W. Hall Art Gallery. They are also celebrating the release of their new album “Along the Way” which will be available.
If you would like to hear some of their music before the concert, go to their website at www.kennmorr.com
Admission at the door is $10/person. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the concert at 7:30 p.m. BYOWine and other refreshments will be available.
