Learning to Use Your Digital Camera

If you are not getting the quality images you want, but don’t know why, this course will help you understand your camera.All the basics of photography will be covered, including the specific controls and manual settings; working with depth-of-field; selecting lenses; focusing the image; backing-up; simple editing and cataloging. There will be discussions of what makes a good image with basic color theory and practical lighting applications. You will take pictures and look at each other’s images. Bring your digital camera (with instruction booklet) to class, along with photos you’ve taken, saved as JPGs on a flash drive.

The class will be held on Thursday evenings from 6-9pm Sept. 18th through October 2nd at 231 N. Main Street in Marlborough CT. It is geared to adults and serious teens.
