The Marlborough Arts Center’s open-air summer concert on Saturday, July 10 at 2 pm features the married duo of Judy Handler and Mark Levesque. They have played over 2,000 concerts together in the USA and Europe. Their arrangements blend classical, Brazilian, Latin, American, Klezmer, gypsy, and jazz for an unique musicality. Individually, Judy has played with many prominent guitarists including Charlie Byrd and has earned degrees from the Cincinnati Conservatory, the Aspen Music School, a Master’s in Music from Hartt School, as well as Diplomas of Merit from music academies in Italy and Spain. Mark started guitar at age 10 and was soon playing with rock and blues bands at this early age. He went on to study and research music all over the world while composing songs and instrumental music including synthesizer works. Their international backgrounds give a sophisticated nuance to their concerts.
The concert begins at 2 p.m. on the Marlborough Arts Center’s beautiful landscaped grounds at 231 North Main Street. Bring your own seating and observe pertinent COVID-19 restrictions. The concerts are free, but a donation of $10 is suggested. Ample parking is provided.
