Horizon Blue, a contemporary acoustic Americana band, will perform at Marlborough Arts Center’s 4th
Friday @ the Arts Café on Friday, September 22nd at 231 North Main Street in Marlborough, CT.
The members of Horizon Blue play a variety of instruments, including guitar, mandolin, ukelele, electric and upright bass, dobro, strum stick, bongos, and flute. They play both original and well-known-songs with a story-telling aspect that immediately connects with the audience. Horizon Blue is a dynamic quartet of multi-talented musicians, including Monique — the voice and song writer — who studied at the Hartt School of Music and the Hartford Conservatory. Pete, who also studied at the Hartt School of Music and the Hartford Conservatory, plays five instruments and is the sound and recording engineer for the group. Mark plays electric and upright bass, and is also a veteran of the Eastern Connecticut performing scene, playing with many bands. Rich is another multi-instrumentalist playing resophonic guitar, tap steel guitar and percussion. Rich has performed in country, rock, and jazz bands nationwide.
Admission at the door is $10. The doors open at 7 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7:30. The Arts
Center is fully accessible with ample parking.
