The Kenn Morr Band will be playing at Marlborough Arts Center’s 4th Friday at the Arts Café on Friday, February 28, 2020. Although centered in Colebrook, Ct. and well known in the region, they are literally also known internationally with record sales and airplay in the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The group describes themselves as an alternative Folk/Rock band but these simple words cannot do justice to their surging rhythms, unique instrumentation, poetic lyrics, and sweet melodies.
Kenn Morr is known for the deeply moving songs he has written from his life experiences and the band’s three-part harmonies are wonderful. With Kenn as lead singer and on various guitars, there is also Tom Hagymasi on strings, Pat Ryan on bass, and Bob Gaspar on drums.
The Arts Center is delighted to have them back as featured artists in the beautiful Charles W. Hall Art Gallery. If you would like to hear some of their music before the concert, go to their website at www.kennmorr.com Admission at the door is $10/person. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the concert at 7:30 p.m. BYOWine; other refreshments will be available.
The Marlborough Arts Center is a non-profit center for the arts located at 231 North Main Street, Marlborough in an historic building that is fully accessible. There is ample parking.
