The Marlborough Arts Center is hosting the musical group Eclectica for the first concert of 2024’s 4th Friday @ the Arts Café series on Friday, January 26th at 7:30 pm. Eclectica is a fascinating group of four professional women who perform original arrangements of music from the Middle Ages to the present day on an eclectic variety of instruments including recorders, harp, violin, viola da gamba, hammered dulcimer, and others. Each program is a time travel adventure, with historical commentary about the times and the music.

The musicians of Eclectica are Kasha Breau, Carrie Crompton, Monika Kinstler, and Deborah Robin, each of whom play several of these instruments and switch off depending on their playlist and the mood they wish to create. To learn more, be sure to visit Eclectica’s Facebook page. The 4th Friday @ the Arts Café concerts remain at $10 per person payable at the door. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. BYOW. Other drinks are available. There is ample parking, and the Arts Center is fully accessible.
