Children’s Classes

NEW** Exciting Art Classes for pre-schoolers offered

Registrations are now being taken for Mini MAC Art Classes at the Marlborough Art Center! Sessions will be held each Friday from 10 am-11 am for 6 weeks beginning May 6 through June 13.

Mini MAC Art Class is designed for 3-4 year old students (with an accompanying adult) focusing on developing fine motor-skills, exploring a variety of art media, building primary art vocabulary, and cultivating curiosity about art. Children will be encouraged to interact with the instructor and classmates while creating masterpieces based on story books and paintings by famous artists.

Mini MAC Art Class was created by Holly Marrero as a way to blend two of her passions: her love of teaching and her love of art. Holly holds an AAS in Graphic Design and a BS in Art Education and was an art teacher for over 15 years, working with toddlers, pre-school, elementary and middle school-aged children. Holly’s creative path took her to working with the elderly and she decided to blend her past work experience with this new found passion and incorporated art as a way to foster confidence and creativity with seniors with dementia. Now her path has come full circle and she is excited to work with children once more!

Mini MAC Art Class is the place where art and fun meet. Holly will encourage our mini artists to fully explore their creativity through different techniques, methods, and mediums. She passionately believes that there is no right or wrong way to express yourself through art and will foster an environment where young artists can feel free to explore their own imagination and creativity.

Price is $20.00 per class. Please contact the Marlborough Arts Center at 860-467-6353 to sign up.
