Colored Pencils
RITA PARADIS

Friday, November 15th 10am – 3pm

Limited to 10 students Adults
Tuition: $50 Materials Fee: $2
Rita continues her class series in using Prismacolor Colored Pencils to help you create
beautiful paintings using these pencils.
Bring all your colored pencils along with the following:
 Light grey – “Col-Erase” pencil – also made by Prismacolor (sold open-stock at
Jerry’s; but you can borrow another student’s if you don’t have one since its use
is only for the initial sketching)
 Drawing pencil – 2B
 Kneaded eraser
 Pencil sharpener – preferably a portable, battery sharpener with a cylindrical
sharpening blade
 Bring a bag lunch (for our break)!
If you are a beginner or are unsure of what subject you want to draw, Rita supplies
paper and a resource print of prior student subjects for $2.
If you are ready to do your own subject, choose a photo with good contrast lighting
that provides interesting shadows and good “edges” (since you will need to trace it).
Print it out so the subject is the same size you want to draw it – usually 5×7 or so. Also
bring any Bristol paper and Vellum tracing paper, if you have it.

We need a minimum of 5 students. Please call Bonnie at 860-267-4584 to save your
spot prior to mailing in your registration form and check.
