Barbara Sherman Work Showcased at Marlborough Town Hall Gallery

Barbara Sherman, an artist member of the Marlborough Arts Center, is now exhibiting some of her photographs in the Marlborough Town Hall Gallery, 26 North Main Street, during regular business hours through July. She began her professional career as a freelance photojournalist, and as a member of the National Press Photographers Association her photographs have been published by newspapers in Connecticut and Maine. Her wildlife photographs have also appeared in Connecticut Woodlands Magazine.

She resides in East Hampton and now specializes in fine art photography particularly stimulated by the rural settings of the New England area. She has earned recognition from the Stratford Arts Festival, the East Hampton Art Association, and first place awards at the Madison Art Gallery on the Green, the Trumbull Arts Festival, and the Marlborough Creative Arts Festival. She also has examples of her art at the Wesleyan Potters’ Gift Shop in Middletown.

Exhibits in the Town Hall Gallery are sponsored by the Marlborough Arts Center, a non-profit regional center for the arts at 231 North Main Street. You are invited to check their website at www.marlborougharts.org for details about other artistic events, classes, and membership. You may also leave a telephone message at (860) 295-9389 and a member of the Board of Directors will return your call.
