The Marlborough Arts Center’s Summer Outdoor Concert Series presents Nick Cutroneo, a classical guitarist, on Saturday, August 28. 2021, at 2 p.m., on the lovely landscaped grounds at 231 North Main Street in Marlborough, CT. Nick Cutroneo has performed extensively throughout the United States and Italy. As a highly sought after chamber musician, he has been involved with the New England Guitar Quartet, toured extensively with the violin and guitar duo Tempo del Fuoco,and performs regularly with Blackledge Music Inc. and the Northeast New Music Collective. He has also premiered many new works beyond the standard repertoire. He is active in the community and performs regularly at assisted living facilities, public libraries, and has provided master classes and clinics in public school programs. His professional background includes the Juilliard School of Music, both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Classical Guitar Performance at the Hartt School of Music, and Long Term Suzuki Pedagogy. He serves on the faculty at Central Connecticut State University and in addition maintains an active private teaching studio, the Nick Cutroneo Guitar Studio based out of Manchester, CT.
Nick Cutroneo’s reviews call him exciting, charismatic, and a very interactive performer. He will bring his vibrant personality and award winning musicality to the Arts Center for what promises to be a delightful afternoon. The concert is free but a $10 donation/person is suggested. Parking is available and the Arts Center is fully accessible. In the case of rain, the concert will be held inside the Arts Center in the beautiful Charles W. Hall Art Gallery. NOTE that we follow the CDC guidelines and suggest that everyone wear a mask for any gathering at the Arts Center, even if fully vaccinated.
