In March the Marlborough Arts Center is once again hosting the Annual Students’ Art Show of students from Marlborough, Hebron, Gilead, and Andover. This show is coordinated by Susan Hollister and Linn Gotta, collaborating closely with the Art teachers of all the schools. In the Elementary schools the teachers are: Denise Ketterer in Marlborough; Meredith Cowan in Hebron; Sue Hourihan in Gilead; and Jay Ames in Andover. Brian Merrill and Rebecca Keller are in RHAM Middle School; Ken Giella, Bev Fisher, Shelly Osowiecki, and Carrie Dinunzio are at RHAM High School. These talented teachers stimulate their students’ creativity in myriad ways so that every Show is unique and always impressive. It is worth a visit even if you do not have a student exhibiting in the Show.
Because there are so many schools involved, there will be two Opening Receptions for the young artists, their parents and friends, and for the public. Saturday, March 7, from 1-4 p.m., will be the Reception for Marlborough Elementary School and both RHAM Middle and High Schools. Sunday, March 8, will be the Reception for the elementary schools of Gilead, Hebron, and Andover.
After the Opening Receptions, the Show will continue and be open on weekends through March 22, every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free.
