The Marlborough Arts Center presents the Kenn Morr Band at its ” 4th Friday @ the Arts Cafe” musical evening on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the beautiful Charles W. Hall Art Gallery at 231 North Main Street, Marlborough, CT. Kenn Morr is known throughout the United States and in Europe as a singer/songwriter who has captured a huge fan base with his very special lyrics based on his life experiences. His velvety baritone makes his songs seem like conversations with all who hear. His band is now working on their 6th album and they will be playing many of the hits from those albums. Known for their harmonics and acoustic rock style, and led by Kenn Morr on vocals, guitar, keyboard, and harmonica, the band members include Bob Gaspar as percussionist and master of the West African drum djembe; Tom Hagymasi who plays a wide variety of instruments: bouzouki, mandolin, violin, and concertina; and Pat Ryan on bass guitar.
Admission is $8/individual or $15 for two. BYOWine. Other refreshments are available. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., but the doors open at 7:00 so there is time to peruse the Gift Shop, choose your own seats (no advance reserved seats), then relax and settle in for what promises to be a fine evening of music and the stories behind it.
