MAC Summer Concerts to be Rain or Shine

The Marlborough Arts Center’s Summer Concert Series has initiated a “Rain or Shine” policy due to the uncertainties of the summer weather. All concerts will be held on the scheduled dates, either outside on the lovely grounds of the Arts Center, or inside in the art filled Charles W. Hall Art Gallery. This includes the Saturday, July 24, 2021 concert with Sal Basile and the Saturday, August 28 concert with Nick Cutroneo.  These summer concerts begin at 2 p.m. All concerts are free of charge, but a $10 per person donation is suggested.

July 24 Summer Concert: Sal Basile

The Saturday July 24, 2010 Outdoor Concert at the Marlborough Arts Center features Sal Basile, a multi-talented musician who accompanies his vocals on guitar, bass, and keyboard. Sal was born into rock and roll in the 50’s after hearing Elvis, Bobby Darrin, Dion, Brenda Lee, The Four Seasons and The Four Tops. And then came the influence of the Beatles, Stones and Dave Clark Five in the 60’s. Always loving and playing guitar, Sal also found inspiration from Eric Clapton, Santana and Stevie Winwood. Meld all these influences and countless others from folk music, country music and the blues, and the result is the delightfully entertaining and memory-provoking musician who is Sal Basile.

The concert on the beautiful grounds of the Marlborough Arts Center at 231 North Main Street, Marlborough, CT begins at 2:00 p.m. Concerts are free of charge, but a $10 donation per person is suggested. Bring your own seating. There is ample parking. If needed, Rain Date would be the next day, Sunday, July 25.
