Call to Artists opportunity in Hebron

Marlborough Arts Center’s June musical evening 4th Friday @ the Arts Café on Friday, June 22, 2018 stars the marvelous harmonies of “Red No. 5” at the Arts Center’s Charles W. Hall Art Gallery at 231 North Main Street, Marlborough CT.

Red No. 5 has been moving audiences with dynamic vocal performances for over 10 years.  This Connecticut-based quartet captures a distinct and individual sound featuring self-arranged interpretations of folk and indie music.  With a unique bond that resonates through their powerful harmonies and emotion, the four young women of Red No. 5 continue to reinvigorate and diversify their home state’s musical community.

As winners of the 2008 New York Harmony Sweepstakes and 2009 RDA A Cappella Slam, Red No. 5’s musical accolades include guest performances at WHUS Radio, SingStrong A Cappella Festival in Reston, VA, and hosting the 2009 NYC Harmony Sweeps.  They were recently selected as one of ten finalists for the 2018 CT Folk Festival. Admission at the door is $10/person. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. BYOWine. Other refreshments are available. Completely organized by volunteers, the Marlborough Arts Center is a non-profit regional center for the arts in a restored historic building with ample parking and is fully accessible.
